Sean Mooney

Senior Pastor

Pastor Sean Mooney has been serving as the senior pastor of New Life Christian Fellowship since May 8, 2009.  Before that he served as the youth pastor for nine years. Today New Life continues to be a group of believers as diverse and dynamic as the city we live in.  Each week Pastor Sean speaks with a voice of Faith into the lives of God’s people, calling for holiness and a closer walk with Jesus Christ.  He seeks to inspire and challenge the church to not only thrive in the physical, but to embrace the spiritual nature of a true walk with God.  Pastor Sean values a multi-cultural, multi-generational worship experience while placing a great emphasis on reaching every generation with the message of the Gospel.

Angela Mooney

Pastor, Ladies Director

Angela Mooney has a rich background in children’s and youth ministry and excels in administration.  She is highly gifted in many areas of leadership within the church and especially in the Women’s ministry. She leads the La Porte chapter of Role Models of America, a multi-faceted ministry to women that meets all sorts of community and family needs.  She and her husband Pastor Sean are parents to Jake and Grace, who are growing up very close to the ministry and heart of New Life.

Robert Vaughn

Robert Vaughn is no stranger to Christian music, being raised by Grammy & Dove award winning songwriter Lanny Wolfe. He’s been in music ministry for over 25 years, and came on staff in May of 2010. He believes that having such a diverse multi-generational and multi-ethnic congregation that it is important to sing music that is relevant to all people.

Jake and Celeste Plew

Youth Pastors

Pastor Jake and Celeste Plew began their ministry in New Mexico before arriving at New Life in the fall of 2011. Both graduates of Texas Bible Institute, they have a strong calling to the youth of this generation. With young, passionate hearts, they aim to build the leaders of tomorrow through servant hood and love. On the weekends you can find Pastor Jake out playing football with the teens, and Mrs. Celeste on the grass watching and reading a book

Founding Pastors / Bishop

Gregory and Gayla Holley founded New Life Christian Fellowship in 1996. He continues to oversee the local church along with many other ministries.
